Gastronomy by the Seine: la crème de la crème

You remember our post published last month: Julie & Julia: ‘Bon appétit!’, the upcoming comedy-drama film, written and directed by Nora Ephron starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams? If you like French food but not only, if you want to learn about gastronomy, if you want to know what will be the flavors and cuisine of tomorrow, then we just found the ultimate rendezvous for you.

Gastronomy by the Seine is the premier networking and educational event for the global, high-end culinary community. An intimate and relaxed forum where industry leaders from the culinary capitals of the world come together to exchange new ideas, build critical relationships, explore new business opportunities, and enjoy a one-of-a-kind Paris experience.

But Gastronomy by the Seine is not the only event, it is the flagship event in a global series of boutique gastronomy summits taking place throughout Asia, Europe, and The Americas. Gastronomy Events has the participation, attendance, and active support of leading chefs from around the world. Wherever you live, you might find a gastronomy event coming close to you.

The morning symposium of « Gastronomy by the Seine » 2009 was an interactive format that included the leading chefs, researchers, and journalists on the subject of flavor pairing. “This is the first event to bring together the most influential voices in the new flavor pairing movement,” said Michel Cloes, founder and CEO of Gourmet Events. “The new approaches to combining tastes shown today will play a huge role in determining the great cuisine of tomorrow.”

The Second Annual Paris Culinary Summit « Gastronomy by the Seine » 2009 took place Monday June 8th aboard Yachts de Paris. « Gastronomy by the Seine » 2010 will take place on Monday May 31st. The next event: « Gastronomy by the Wall » will take place in Beijing in September 2009.

Very interesting event for sure but I think it’s for press only. It’s not public.

But maybe I’m wrong…
