Whiskey Stones for Manhattans’ amateurs

By Sama Team | September 11, 2009

It's Friday night, it's late, let's talk about serious stuff: Whiskey Stones. I don't drink much (unlike some other members of the Sama Team, I will not give away any names, they will recognize themselves) but I have to admit the idea of the Whiskey Stones sounds great for any Manhattan on the rocks amateurs. Stones, in your Bourbon? Exactly!   Here is how it works (taken from 'Why This Gets The Delight Seal of Approval'):   Whiskey Stones come in a set of 9 stones packaged in a gift box, with a reusable storage bag included. They are made in Vermont from natural soapstone, by the craftsmen of the oldest soapstone workshop in the United States. The Whiskey Stones will impart neither flavor nor odor, and they are more gentle than ice, you only have to store them in the freezer for at least 4 hours before use. Add 3 stones to a glass and pour until liquid has reached the height of 1 stone (about 2 fl oz). Let stand for 5 minutes and enjoy your drink.   Drink in moderation. A true epicurean is a person devoted to refined sensuous enjoyment (especially good food and drink). No use to drink (or eat) much to fully enjoy a unique moment.

That’s great stuff, so from now my whiskey won’t get diluted in water anymore? I’m ordering the stones right now! :P

Betty – As far as I know Max doesn’t drink alcohol. But I remember she liked good red wine ;)

¡Hola!

Some of you know Max more than I will ever do (sad but true…) so I guess Moshuo is right. Plus I don’t think Max is a drinker but I think she talked about red wine on her blog once or twice.

Maybe I will buy these stones, it’s a great gift I could make to a friend of mine for his birthday, he is a true Manhattan amateur :)

It’s a set of 9 stones, no that much. Hopefully the stones are reusable.

Pilar, less than $20 is an affordable price for a friend’s gift ;)
