Alexander McQueen’s Autumn Winter 2010 collection

By Sama Team | March 12, 2010

Paris Fashion Week 2010 (3 - 11 March 2010) was great, we loved the Chanel (a Scandinavian ice floe in the Grand Palais) and Hermès (Jean-Paul Gauthier is so creative) collections very much. But what we were waiting for was the late designer Alexander McQueen's Autumn Winter 2010 collection, which has been unveiled at Paris fashion week. It's the collection McQueen was working on when he committed suicide last month...

We knew it would be flamboyant and each of the 16 pieces were breathtaking! Elaborate and rich embroidered coats, inspired by Byzantine art and Hieronymus Bosch paintings,  in red and gold with lacquered golden feathers Mohawks... The collection was truly spectacular, mesmerizing. Alexander McQueen was a fashion genius, and with this collection, he came back to life for an amazing show. Thank you!

I’ve seen McQueen’s collection, it was fabulous.

He will be missed…

I was not a big fan of the designer, I didn’t like his Gothic clutch but I have to admit he was talented.

He had his reasons to go. His work will be there for a long time, it will survive him in many ways, that’s a good thing.

Alexander McQueen was so creative, so inspired! Everything he did was like oeuvre d’arte :(

I don’t usually wear dresses (but it can happen, you know…) but I appreciate the attention to detail he had.

Apparently, the trend will stay alive, there will be other ‘Alexander McQueen’ collections.

” Alexander McQueen was a fashion genius, and with this collection, he came back to life for an amazing show ”

Why are the geniuses always dying before the others? :(
