Gothic-style skull clutch by Alexander McQueen

By Sama Team | November 24, 2009

English fashion designer Alexander McQueen is very creative. When we saw the photo of the skull clutch, we (2 of us actually) immediatly thought: 'This clutch is great, it could make a great gift to someone we know very well'. We suppose you guess about whom we are talking about.   Max Dana has been working at her atelier lately and we didn't have the occasion to show her the skull clutch yet, so we thought it could be a good idea to publish something about it on the Sama Gazette. We know she reads us everytime we post a new article. Plus, we know you love our Burlesque and Steampunk section. So check this gothic-style clutch:   Alexander McQueen skull clutch in red statin and brass cut-out shell depicting birds and flowers. The skull has black Swarovski crystal eyes, teeth and studs. Red leather interior. LENGTH: 16.5 cm, WIDTH: 11.5 cm, DEPTH: 5.5 cm   The skull clutch is also available in classic black statin and in antique gold leather with black Nappa leather lining. A Union Jack version is available in red, white, and blue patent leather flag clutch-skull clasp closure- crystal eye detail- nappa leather lining; in patent black and red leather and last but not least, a Christmas skull clutch exclusive to Alexander McQueen boutiques with an iconic Union Jack skull clutch in metallic python. More on Alexander McQueen's Website.   Price is between $1,195.00 and $2,735.00. So yes, you can start saving some money if you (we) want to buy a skull clutch!

I think the work on this clutch is amazing. Gino is right, it’s not a clutch, it’s an oeuvre d’art! :)

Women spend a lot of money for their bags and I don’t think 2000 dollars is that much

My bags don’t cost more than 250 euros. I have a good job but spending more that 250 euros in a bag is crazy. Unless you’re very rich which I’m not -yet- ;)

Max Dana seems to like skull if I understand well. I don’t know what she looks like but if I see a woman wearing this bag in a magazine then I will know it might be Max Dana :P

Oleg, I don’t think you will ever see Max in a magazine but the Sama Team knows her very well so maybe she will buy such a clutch…… Who knows! ;)

That’s true, Juliette wears this bag very often and it’s still in very good shape!

I agree with Hulks, no way Max will be taken in photo for a magazine… Or maybe by surprise :P
