Les aventures extraordinaires d’Adele Blanc-Sec

By Sama Team | April 14, 2010

If you live in France, there is no way you could not know Les aventures extraordinaires d'Adele Blanc-Sec opens today. Louise Bourgoin (playing Adèle Blanc-Sec) and Luc Besson are on every channel, promoting the film. Even Max Dana posted about it on her Blog; so we had to add our small contribution to the buzz for our dear Sama Readers living abroad and who may not already know about the last movie produced by EuropaCorp.

The plot (from IMDb): An adventure set in the early party of the 20th century and focused on a popular novelist and her dealings with would-be suitors, the cops, monsters, and other distractions. Some of us have seen the movie and loved it, we appreciated the performance of the actors (Mathieu Amalric, Gilles Lellouche) and the Steampunk-inspired scenery. Besson and Steampunk? No question why the movie caught Max's attention!

You can visit the official website of Adele Blanc-Sec and watch the trailer (with English subtitles).

Too bad you can't see it - yet - abroad! :)

Louise Bourgoin is beautiful! I’m also a big fan of Mathieu Amalric so I’m going to see the movie in the coming days :)

That’s very funny, Juliette and Arnold live together but they schedule their agenda using the comments on the Sama Gazette Jajaja

Who is Louise Bourgoin? I never heard of her before. I don’t know all French actresses (not even the spanish ones) but her name doesn’t ring a bell :o op:

Louise Bourgoin was working on Canal+, she was the Miss Weather there. Unlike Meddi I am not seduced by her (I can’t stand her high voice) but the movie sounds great. The trailer is very well done.
