About The Sama Gazette

Your entry point into the World of Sama.

Founded in 2007 at the initiative of French artist Max Dana, and launched online in 2009, The Sama Gazette is the daily voice of a much larger universe.

Max Dana creates it, weaving her art and her writing through it. Max Von Sama explores it as a Steampunk adventurer. The MagkaSama Project acts on its behalf for human rights. The Sama Gazette watches, comments, and shares, one post at a time, and ties the whole universe together for anyone curious enough to follow the thread.

What

All Things Sama, and more. Cinema, music, art, toys, science fiction, craftsmanship, Paris. The Sama Gazette covers it with a distinct lens: curious, independent, unmistakably French at heart, with a hint of “je ne sais quoi.”

Daily culture picks (#SamaCinema, #SamaMusic, #SamaPics) sit alongside the pulse of the wider universe: new Chronicles from maxdana.com, milestones from the MagkaSama Project, and news from the Sama Fraternal Society itself.

Why

We stay open to everything. Culture and entertainment first, but also the state of the world we live in: heritage under threat, the environment, human rights. Reflection without action means little to us, so we care loudly about the causes we cover.

Who

The Sama Gazette is written by the Sama Team, drawn from the Samayan Community and given full editorial carte blanche by our founder, Max Dana herself. That freedom is what keeps the tone informal, opinionated, and alive.

Samayans belong to the Sama Fraternal Society, a discreet international circle that grew out of readers gathering around the World of Sama since the mid-1990s. No membership to buy, no status to earn: a shared commitment to curiosity, critical thinking, justice, and respect for the living world. The Sama Gazette on X is where this circle gathers most.

Where

Right now, The Sama Gazette lives on X, @SamaGazette, updated every day. This page is its front door: a fixed place to understand where the conversation comes from and where it can take you next.
