Neverend Clocks by Dan Funderburgh at Furni

By Sama Team | March 26, 2010

Our Twitter friends @coolhunting published an article on their website about Kitsune Noir, Dan Funderbergh and Furni's subversively modern take on the cuckoo clock. We also read the news on Kitsune Noir's blog and when we saw the retro/classic Bavarian cuckoo clock style of the Neverend Clocks, we thought: 'It would be perfect to hang on the walls of the Sama Gazette!'

Here are the details about the Neverend Clocks:

- Limited edition of 88 / 44 natural & 44 matte black
- The clock measures 16"H x 9"W
- Laser-etched onto a 3/8” thick piece of high quality Russian birch plywood
- Laser cut acylic hands are reversible, come in black and white
- Solid birch body, handcrafted in Canada
- Battery operated
The clocks retail for $198 and can only be purchased through Furni’s Online Shop.

And here is the story behind this collaboration between Kitsune Noir and Furni (from Kitsune Noir blog):

Through random circumstances I was introduced to a guy named Mike Giles who runs a design/build company called Furni. Mike and I hit it off and wanted to figure out a way to collaborate together on something cool. Through Furni Mike has created a ton of awesome looking clocks, so we knew that’s where we’d start. I then added together the curation of artists and designers I enjoyed, reaching out to my friends to create custom graphics for the clocks. The final piece was Mike buying a laser etcher, and since then we’ve been working and refining the idea of Neverend for more than a year now. It’s been a long process but we couldn’t be more happy with the results.

We definitly like the Sama-esque style of these clocks. If you like them too, be quick! Kitsune Noir suggests ordering as fast you can as he has an idea that these are going to sell out quite quickly.
