Champs-Elysées Film Festival marks 10th anniversary!

Last year’s edition was exclusively online, but this year the Champs-Elysées Film Festival will take place in Paris on September 14-21, 2021, in all the theaters of the most beautiful avenue in the world, the Champs-Elysées of course!

Founded in 2012 by producer, distributor and exhibitor Sophie Dulac, Champs-Elysées Film Festival is with no doubt one of our favorite film festival (read our post from last year), the yearly event offering a selection of French and American films in competition, previews, guests of honor and a cutting-edge musical selection.

The 2021 edition will mark the tenth anniversary of the festival, and we can read on the event’s website:

This 2021 edition will once again be placed under the sign of French and American independent cinema, offering a panorama of the latest independent productions from both countries, giving room to discoveries, emerging talents, freedom of tone, and areas of experimentation. This 10th edition will also be an opportunity to look back on the films that have marked the festival since its beginnings through a special 10-year retrospective.

”We are looking forward to welcoming the public in theaters again, to share with them the latest gems of French and American independent cinema… and I can already tell you that this edition will be outstanding and full of nice surprises!”

Sophie Dulac, President of Champs-Élysées Film Festival

But there’s more: at the heart of the festival, the feature and short film competitions are designed to highlight new works, offering a panorama of the latest independent productions from both countries. Each year, the festival brings together more than 25,000 spectators and professionals on the Champs-Élysées. The festival fervently supports emerging talents, freedom of tone, art house and experimental areas and each year presents daring, unseen and committed films.
