Avatar: International teaser trailer has arrived!

By Sama Team | August 24, 2009

The Sama Team is talking about it since it's been officially online last Friday: Avatar's international teaser trailer has arrived and it's huge. James Cameron's newest creation takes us to a spectacular new world beyond our imagination. The trailer gives the world its first glimpse of the alien world dreamed up by the famous director. Synopsis:

Avatar is the story of an ex-Marine who finds himself thrust into hostilities on an alien planet filled with exotic life forms. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, he finds himself torn between two worlds, in a desperate fight for his own survival and that of the indigenous people.

The much anticipated sci-fi movie is starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Peter Mensah... I was very impressed by the trailer and I can't wait to see the movie when it opens in theaters (conventional 3D theaters and IMAX 3D) everywhere December 18, 2009.

Twentieth Century Fox announced that the Avatar teaser trailer has become the most-viewed trailer ever on the popular iTunes Movies Trailer section of apple.com. The teaser registered over four million streams in its first day on the site, shattering the previous record of 1.7 million. In case you missed the trailer (which I doubt), watch below. You can also visit Avatar's Official Website.

Most of the effort went into rendering the picture, I hope the actual story line will be as good. But the expectations are high, it will be difficult to make everyone happy, even for someone like James Cameron.

We’ll see in December.

Well I was waiting for this trailer for a while and I was pleasantly surprised. Not that I wasn’t expecting something good but I heard so many things about this movie I didn’t know what will come out. I think it will have a great success!

I agree with JBKaval, I don’t see anything magical in this trailer. You are not the only one my friend! Hahaha

This movie has one of the highest budgets ever for a movie. It has to be good. It must be good.

Or Cameron’s career is dead.

I think it’s a beautiful movie, plus it’s in 3D. I’m sure it’s going to be very good.

I am usually not into science-fiction but I agree with the majority here. The CGI looks pretty good (that’s Arnold’s words, not mine).

Mark, you’re being too sarcastic! :P

I thought the movie was going to be about the cartoon Avatar… It’s nothing like the cartoon series it originates from.

On the contrary Juliette (and Arnold). I think there is way too much CGI. Kinda disappointing to tell the truth…

Goeff, don’t get confused with Avatar: The Last Airbender. It is being adapted from the cartoon and directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

Totally different movie.

There are 2 different movies with the same title? That’s confusing indeed. And pretty stupid too!!
