‘Mission: Impossible’ actor Peter Graves dead at 83

By Sama Team | March 15, 2010

Peter Graveswas great actor. Many of us knew him best for his role of Jim Phelps, leader of a gang of special agents who battled evil conspirators in TV's "Mission: Impossible". Some others also remember him staring in"Fury", Billy Wilder's "Stalag 17", Charles Laughton's "The Night of the Hunter", Otto Preminger's "The Court Martial of Billy Mitchell" and "Airplane!". Graves passed away Sunday just a few days before his 84th birthday, outside his home in Los Angeles.

We were huge fans of "Mission: Impossible" so we couldn't not mention the death of the actor on the Sama Gazette. He was also a very decent, honorable human being. Thanks for all of your memorable roles!

Very sad news, yesterday I was watching Mission Impossible on Paris Première (French TV channel). It’s all my youth that fades suddenly away…

Corey Haim? You liked him? I didn’t… AT ALL.

But Peter Graves was my father’s favorite actor in Fury. So many souvenirs are coming back from the past right now………
