Run for Congo Women in London on July 3!

By Sama Team | July 1, 2010

Run for Congo Women is a grassroots movement benefiting Women for Women International's Congo program. Last month we announced the run in San Francisco; this week, the first official Run for Congo Women UK (and only run in Europe) will be taking place at the Regents Park Race on July 3rd 2010.  You can get all the information you need on this page.

If you will participate to the race and if you want to share your run experience with us just like Carissa Weir did in Run for Congo Women: Big Things Begin with Small Steps, let us know (see Contact page)! If you are not running, you can of course come along on support the runners. Note that Run for Congo Women T-shirts will be free for all runners who raise over £100 for Run for Congo Women, or available for a £10 donation.

John Smith (Finance) and Kate Hughes (Policy and Campaigns) model
the Run for Congo Women t-shirts ahead of the run on 3rd July.

The Sama Team is right, it’s the only race in Europe. Why is that?

I won’t be ashamed of my physical condition anymore: I’m going to run a marathon in September. I’m serious about it, I will prepare myself this Summer and be ready in two months. :)
