By Sama Team | November 20, 2009

"The Oprah Winfrey Show" will end on September 9, 2011.  The hallucinating numbers: 42 million viewers a week in the United States, broadcasted to 145 countries, highest-rated talk show for 23 consecutive seasons. Oprah Winfrey is rich and powerful and she decided to end her show.   Check her webiste and wait for the official announcement, by Oprah herself. Many people will miss her show; who would be able to do better? Nobody...

I don’t watch her show but I’m impressed by her success. I have a lot of respect for Oprah. So does my mom :P

I don’t know much about Oprah Winfrey. All I know is that she is very, very rich and that she supported Obama for his election. Besides that, I never watched her show (you know, I live in France) so I can’t really comment on this news

Like Juliette I don’t know much about her but I heard many good things about what she does for her community. She seems to be a great person and it’s her choice to end her show, so be it!

I don’t care that Oprah Winfrey’s talk show is going off the air.

¡Hola!

Why did she decided to end her show? 23 years on air is unbelievable!! She’s black and she succeeded, she must be taken as an example.

Oprah Winfrey is not a model to me but I have a lot of respect for what she did. But many people hate her for that same reason. Sad but true.

Oprah will launch another show, not on the cable if I read well.

That’s a great news :P

But I assume not for Mark

Moshuo, many people think she only help her community (black people) and that’s why they don’t like her very much. I personally don’t care who she’s helping, she has money and she uses it well so it’s a good point anyway.

But people are jealous, or even racist, let’s face it…..

I thought everything would change with Barack Obama being President but apparently it didn’t. That’s very sad indeed :(

Oprah is a true humanitarian, nobody can take her that, whatever they say, she does more to help people in need than any of these racist people!!

The majority of White American love her show and support her. Let’s not make this announcement something racial. It’s not.

I think Oprah is a great woman but she also has had way too much influence on her audience and that’s a feeling we are many to share. But it has nothing to do with her being black and the audience being mostly white………..

Oprah Winfrey is going to own her own network: Oprah Winfrey Network.

There is a life after the show, don’t worry about her ;)

Elfanagan

Yeah, I think her biggest mistake was getting into politics by endorsing Barack Obama. She lost a lot of her credibility by not staying independant from the politics. It really hurt her image a lot, even from Obama supporters……………..
