Twitter Sunday: Favorites Tweets @stephenfry

By Sama Team | April 25, 2010

Last week, our Twitter Sunday was dedicated to the Save Darfur Coalition (follow the organization @SaveDarfur). Today's Twitter Sunday is on a lighter note: we chose to share with you our Favorites Tweets @stephenfry. Stephen Fry is a British actor, writer, journalist, comedian, television presenter and film director, and his Twitter bio describes him as British Actor, Writer, Lord of Dance, Prince of Swimwear & Blogger.

Stephen Fry is a great actor. Remember his brief appearance in A Fish Called Wanda? And his great performance portraying Oscar Wilde in the film Wilde? We was also in Gosford Park, V for Vendetta, Eichmann and more recently he starred in Alice in Wonderland as The Cheshire Cat. And we can read on Wikipedia Fry's voice has been featured in several video games (Reaver, Fable II, Harry Potter...). And he's also good friend with actor Hugh Laurie, you will understand why we mention this when you will read the tweets.

Here are our Favorites Tweets @stephenfry!

I did warn you ... http://twitpic.com/1hv3sc

Oh dear. My hair is simply too long. I look like James May's twin sister.

Frankly I'm tempted to vote Lib Dem now. If we let the Telegraph and Mail win, well, freedom and Britain die.

I'm really not tweeting, book so achingly close to completion. But this is time sensitive so - http://tinyurl.com/y4avzcj - good cause x

Back from gym. Must say, iPad on treadmill is perfect: made for it. Watched an ep of House. V good actor in it - reminded me of someone.

I've written about the iPad for Time Magazine: http://stephenfry.com.

Did you get the reference to Hugh Laurie? Concerning Fry's long hair, we hesitated to use the photo he published on Twitpic to illustrate this post. We finally chose one on which Stephen Fry doesn't look like James May's twin sister. We appreciate Stephen Fry's humor a lot at the Sama Gazette and we invite you to follow him on Twitter. You can also visit his official website (blog, video, forum...).

Ok, Stephen Fry is HUGE. I love this actor. Seriously, he’s very funny and he’s a great actor, I agree with the Sama Team. I may be a movie critic but this time it’s different. Fry is bigger than just the movies he made.

From Fry’s blog: < I am here at apple’s invitation to try out the iPad, and later in my visit I will spend an hour with the company’s boss, Steve Jobs—the first time I’ve ever spent any real time with him. >

I wish I were invited too

Dittta, I couldn’t agree more on Hugh Laurie :) I have seen Fry in a movie but I can’t remember which one it was. He seems to be a great actor and apparently even more than just an actor. His site is cool and I will start following him on twitter ;)
