The town that wants nuclear waste
Like the energy source itself, it’s the question that won’t go away: what can be done with spent nuclear fuel? Sweden believes it has the answer. The plan is to bury the country’s expected 12,000 tons of nuclear waste in corrosion-resistant copper canisters under 500 meters of crystalline bedrock. Nintendo: Wii 2 Coming In 2012
Nintendo Co Ltd will launch a successor to its aging Wii game console in 2012 as it bets on a new hit games platform to win back users lured away by rivals Microsoft and Sony, and reverse a fall in profits. ‘Al-Qaeda assassin worked for MI6’, secret cables claim
An alleged al-Qaeda militant suspected of bombing a luxury hotel and two churches in Pakistan in 2002 was an informer for MI6, it has been claimed. Adil Hadi al Jazairi Bin Hamlili was detained at Guantanamo Bay between 2003 and last year when he was sent back to his native Algeria by President Obama. Apples has finally confirmed that the white iPhone 4 will be available starting Thursday, April 28. Blast in Moroccan Cafe Kills at Least 14
An explosion tore through a busy cafe frequented by foreigners in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh on Thursday, killing at least 14 people and wounding more than a dozen others, Moroccan officials said. Hackers Claim to Have PlayStation Users’ Card Data
Security researchers said Thursday that they had seen discussions on underground Internet forums indicating that the hackers who infiltrated the Sony PlayStation Network last week may have made off with the credit card numbers of Sony customers.
